THE FANATEC DD2 REVIEW – Part 3 – Driving Tests – The Verdict & Fanatec vs. Simucube

Over the last few days, we’ve taken a look at the hardware, the software and the Fanatec ecosystem in detail. We’ve discussed and compared some of the hardware elements of the Fanatec Direct Drive wheelbases with their Simucube counterparts, and looked at the vitally important role that drivers and software play in the overall driving experience.

So now it’s time to tie everything together and take a look at the overall driving experience with the Fanatec DD2. I’ll take you through each of the sim titles I tested, including iRacing, Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competizione, Project Cars 2, Dirt Rally 2.0, F1 2019 and Raceroom, and not only share my overall impressions but compare those impressions from my own point of view having 3 months worth of experience with the same titles using my Simucube 2 Ultimate.

I really hope this video series helps you decide which path you want to take on your Direct Drive journey!
