Project MX5 – How to Remove External Door Handles, Mirrors, Trim & Door Cards

In this quick video I show you how to strip your doors down and remove the door cards, external door handles, rubber trim and mirror from your NB MX5.

In my case I did this to prep for wrapping. It’s a lot easier to wrap your doors, mirrors and handles if they’re not on the car. To reinstall, simply reverse the process.

Please keep in mind that the car is not secure all the time that the handles are removed.

TOOLS REQUIRED:
Plastic Trim Removal Tool (or flat head screwdriver)
Large Philips Head Screwdriver (ratchet type makes it easier)
10mm Deep Socket and Ratchet
