May 1st 2020 marks 26 years since Ayrton Senna, one of the greatest racing drivers of all time was lost in a horrible accident at Imola.
One of the most iconic pieces of footage from his career shows a T-Cam view of him wrestling with the car around the streets of Monaco in his McLaren MP4/5B to put it on Pole Position for the 1990 Monaco Grand Prix, and I’ve always wondered what it must have looked like through his eyes.
So thought today I’d take a shot at trying to recreate the scene and atmosphere using Assetto Corsa and some post-production to simulate an old VHS tape reminiscent of the era.
