After a relatively trouble free build, it was time to go for our first drive. There were still a lot of questions to be answered. Our biggest concern was the impact of having the monitors free standing rather than moving in unison with the rig. As the monitors are so heavy and the load capacity of the Traction Plus is 235kg including the driver, mounting the monitors to the rig is out of the question, so let’s see how this goes…
So as you can see the fundaments are there for an incredibly immersive system, both for the driver as well as for content creation, but we still have some work ahead of us. Stay tuned to see how this plays out!
