If you’ve ever asked about using a TV as a PC Monitor for gaming on Social Media, you’ve likely been shot down by people saying they’re useless because of “Input lag” or “slow response time”, but what exactly does that mean and what’s the effect in the real world?
In today’s video we finish mounting the display on our Next level Racing F-GT Simulator Rig, and I take you through the important factors to consider when choosing a TV for gaming, such as Input Lag, response Time, Refresh Rate, Backlight Blinking, Frame Interpolation, Resolution, HDR, 4K, etc. We’ll then go through set-up and optimization of the TV to get the best performance, and finally go for our first drive in the new rig to see how it all works and get my initial impressions.
By the end of this video you should be well equipped to choose an appropriate TV for your Simulator or Gaming setup.
