A lot of people don’t realize that overclocking a Workstation or Gaming PC isn’t as simple as just shooting for the highest numbers. The vast majority of overclocking guides on the internet are based around setting the highest number you possibly can, without any real regard for stability beyond the duration of the test or benchmark you’re completing. So in today’s video, I’m going to explain and demonstrate my approach to overclocking the ultimate gaming PC to deliver the highest rock solid stable and reliable performance.
This video goes through all my Z390 BIOS settings and why I use them, then goes on to explain my approach to stability testing, and finally shows my i9 9900k and 2080Ti benchmarking results in Cinebench and 3D Mark. We also discuss PWM fan profiles, Load Line Calibration, Voltage Overshoot and some basic water cooling principles to keep your system running cool, quiet and efficient.
