A few weeks ago we released a video investigating a critical bug with Codemasters e-sports title F1 2018.
We confirmed that lower FPS meant higher tyre temperatures in the game, which is of course a significant disadvantage to players with lower spec PCs.
The video got a fantastic response from the community and was ultimately seen and responded to by Codemasters themselves, who have now released a patch to fix the problem.
In this video we put the patch to the test to confirm if it’s working, and answer a few other questions like “Are people who were running higher FPS now disadvantaged?”
