Remarkable dashcam footage has emerged from inside a Tesla Model X showing the vehicle detect a potential incident, apply the brakes and warn the driver seconds before an accident played out right in front of the driver’s eyes.

Tesla released their Version 8 software update back in September, which brought with it updated radar processing technology for all its vehicles running the older version software. This software allows the vehicle to see beyond what the driver can see, and monitor what’s going on multiple cars ahead on the road, meaning it can react much faster than even the most alert driver ever could.

The only thing left to worry about is if the guy behind you is paying attention!

In the video below, we hear the collision warning sound seemingly for no reason, moments later the SUV in front is on its roof.
