High profile tech creators have claimed that a triple screen setup with the LG UltraGear™ 45″ OLED 240Hz 800R Curved Gaming Monitor is the best possible display configuration for Sim Racing! I’ve been lucky enough to use a huge range of setups from flat triples, curved triples, big single, big triples, VR and more! So I had to try this out.
The screens we have for this test are the LG 45GS96QB, which boasts a 45-inch curved display with an aggressive 800R curvature and a 21:9 aspect ratio, 3440×1440 WQHD resolution, 240Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms GtG response time. There is no doubt that this is an excellent gaming monitor.
With any Triple screen setup there is a lot to think about when it comes to FOV, screen position, mounting, PC Performance, bezel free kits and driver setup. My suspicion going in to this is that due to the extreme nature of these screens, some of those compromises could be quite extreme. But if it all falls into place it could well be the ultimate sim racing display configuration.
So we spent many hours tweaking this rig to get the absolute most out of it, and in this video I’ll take you through some of the limitations, compromises and tell you everything you need to know if you’re considering a megs triple screen rig like this.
