Those of you who have tried recently to use an aftermarket hub adaptor to run an aftermarket wheel on your Fanatec DD1, DD2 or CSW would have found that Force Feedback is disabled. This is the case on Fanatec’s current wheelbases whenever a genuine Fanatec wheel is not detected.
Now thankfully there is a solution with the announcement of Fanatec’s new Podium Hub. Not only does this enable Force Feedback when using aftermarket wheels, but it also allows you to connect the Podium Shifter Module, as well as an assortment of other button modules, giving you the flexibility to build a wheel that suits your specific needs, or run any aftermarket wheel with a compatible 6x70mm or 3x50mm bolt pattern mounting plate.
In today’s video, we take a quick look through the details of the Podium Hub, as well as Fanatec’s newly announced Podium Steering Wheel R300.
